Fire Safe Certified Ball Valves |

ZIPSON STEEL provide fire safe certified ball valve by ANSI/API standard 607 fifth edition, released in June
2005. The identical standard is ISO 10497-5:2004. The standard was titled, Fire Test for Soft-se ated Quarter-turn Valves. Fire safe valve was designed
when the plant is firing, the soft seats were all burned out, the valve still sealed by the precise valve ball & body. This will keep the damage as low as possible.
Valve Series
207 series was approved with split body flanged full bore design, belleville washer, graphite gasket & stem packing.
This type is designed for most industires with qualified size 1/2" to 4" (DN15 to DN100) & qualified pressu re rarting Class150, 300/ PN10, 16, 25, 40.
Zipson is now preparing new valves of different types and sizes range for fire safe test.
Solution of 3/4-Way Fire Safe Valve The fire safe test ask the ball to block the port after firing to keep from
inner leakage. For 3/4-way valve, you'll have 3 ports but only one ball. That's why no one can make this happen, the only one ball can't block 3 or 4 ports.
The solution Zipson offer is to use suitable seals on multi-way valve to prevent from outer leakage while firing, and set 3 or 4 fire safe valves on each
port. These 2-way fire safe valves will block the media by their fire safe design. |
